Meet November’s employee spotlight: Karmann El Ashawah! Karmann is a member of our team at Falls City Machine Technology. She has been with PSC for an impressive 34 years. Throughout her years at PSC, she has exhibited growth, versatility, and dedication. She has performed many different roles here, from her first position as a File Clerk, to Lab Technician, to QC Lab Manager, to her current role as the Program and Office Manager. Karmann shines in every role she takes on due to her strong devotion to her work and her kindness towards all of her coworkers.

PSC is more than just a workplace for Karmann. When asked what she loves about working at PSC, she responded, “PSC has been more like a mentor to me all my adult life. It set the foundation for my work ethic and has provided me with opportunities and positive relationships that have helped create a better version of me.” She also loves getting to work with a diverse group of people every day.

Karmann has contributed a lot to the company in her time here, but what she is most proud of is the work that she did in the Quality Control Lab. She started working in the lab as a Laboratory Technician, and gradually advanced to become the QC Lab Manager. The tests that the lab was conducting helped open the door for more business opportunities for the company. Karmann prides herself in the work that she did being vital to PSC at the time.

One of her favorite memories from working at PSC was getting to meet Muhammed Ali during Derby Festival with a group of her coworkers.

Outside of work, Karmann has many hobbies. She likes to read, take long drives in her convertible, and play with her dogs. She also enjoys watching documentaries and “trash” TV. Above all, she values spending quality time with her friends and family and taking time to experience the moment.
