Employee Spotlight - February 2026

Bryson Varner

Meet our employee spotlight for February: Bryson Varner! Bryson is a member of our IT team, focused on developing our internal database. Before PSC, he worked in residential maintenance and construction, specializing in HVAC, until returning to school for software development. He now works as a Blazor Developer. Bryson has only been with PSC for two years, but he has made a large impact in his time here. His dedication, skill, and expertise make him invaluable at PSC.

Bryson has been instrumental in developing our new database system. Rather than using a pre-existing system and altering it to fit our needs, the IT team developed an entirely new system to work best for us. The team has been working tirelessly to update this evolving system to include everything that we need. “Seeing our creation grow and get used on a daily basis is very satisfying,” Bryson said.
One of Bryson’s favorite things about PSC is the accepting and welcoming culture. “Some people, like myself, have struggled to find a company to work for in the past that celebrates the uniqueness of a person, rather than trying to make them conform to the ‘ideal employee’ expectation. PSC seems to enjoy the unique aspects and personalities that people have, rather than wanting them to change.” He likes that all of his coworkers are different and interesting in their own way, making for fun conversations at work.

Bryson knows how much positive coworkers can completely alter your work environment. When Bryson was travelling to Columbia to help roll out the new system, their flight was delayed, causing them to miss their connecting flight. Rather than wait for another flight, the group decided it would likely be faster to drive the 12 hours to Columbia. Despite the frustrating circumstances, the team kept their spirits high, turning a rough start into a funny story down the line.

Outside of work, Bryson enjoys playing video games and tabletop games. He also spends a lot of time working on home improvement projects.
