Employee Spotlight - January 2026

Mike Fields

Meet our employee spotlight for January: Mike Fields! Mike is a member of our team at our Maple Street plant in Louisville, KY. In December, Mike celebrated his 60th anniversary with the company. In his time at PSC, he has filled many roles, including press operation and setup, operating the forklift, and running the shipping department. Mike has a strong work ethic and is always willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that the job gets done. His dedication, versaitility, and drive make him an invaluable member of the PSC team.
Mike started at PSC when it was just one building on Madison Street in Louisville, KY. He was instrumental in moving production from PSC’s original location to Kentucky Street, the building that is now our home office. At Kentucky Street, Mike ran the shipping department and warehouse. When PSC opened a second facility in Louisville on Broadway, he moved to that location to run presses and operate the forklift. Eventually, production moved to our Maple Street location, where Mike is still a forklift operator.

As customers, parts, and processes change, it doesn’t phase Mike-he stays focused on getting the work done. “I just did my job every building that I was at. I didn’t pay attention to changes.” Mike has always been committed to doing the best work possible, even when that used to mean working until 9pm. “They said, ‘You working over?’ Well, it wasn’t a big deal back then. You did whatever you need to do to get the job done and out the doors.”

Mike has no plans of retiring any time soon. He joked, “I can’t believe I got more time than all these people. Back then, I was counting all the people. I said, ‘You need to hurry up and retire. You need to hurry up and retire. You need to hurry up.’ So they all started one by one, and put me number one. I can always say, I’m number one.”
