Meet December’s employee spotlight: Chela Castillo! Chela is a member of our team in Wichita, Kansas. She has been a dedicated employee of PSC for nine years. Throughout her years here, Chela has displayed versatility with the numerous roles she has performed. She started her time here as a packer. However, through hard work and tenacity, she has moved up to a lead position, and is now responsible for packing Cobalt foam kits; this growth is her proudest achievement at PSC. Chela’s extreme devotion to her work has made her an invaluable member of our team.

What sets Chela apart is her extreme dedication to her position. She always ensures that the kits that she is responsible for have the correct parts, are packaged correctly, and are loaded onto the truck for delivery. Chela enjoys her work and takes pride in knowing that Cobalt gets what they order. She always works diligently until the job is complete — even if that sometimes means having to work overtime. Chela recalls once staying and working until 11:00 pm to ensure that the Cobalt shipments were all finished. She always goes the extra mile to get the job done.

Chela’s favorite thing about PSC is the people that she works with. She appreciates being able to work with so many different people, and the closeness with her coworkers makes the experience here unique. “Working for PSC is like being with family,” she says. She loves that she has gotten the opportunity to work with people for so many years that she has been able to know them as more than coworkers.

Outside of work, Chela enjoys traveling and spending time with her grandkids.
