Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet cutting is an extremely versatile fabrication method used in virtually every industry, including automotive, HVAC, aerospace, and appliance. Waterjets use a high-pressure stream of water to make precise, clean cuts. This process can be utilized on a wide variety of materials, including many different types of foam and fiberglass. PSC Industries has waterjets with 5 and 6 axis capabilities, allowing for 3-dimensional, angled cuts. Waterjets are ideal for low volume orders and rapid prototyping.

5 Axis Waterjet

A 5 axis waterjet is an advanced cutting tool that allows for angled cuts up to 60 degrees. 5 and 6 axis waterjets have a greater range of motion than the traditional 3-axis, allowing for more complex cuts.

Benefits of Waterjet Cutting

  • Extreme Precision and Detail
  • 3-Dimensional Cuts
  • Smooth Finished Edge
  • Material Versatility
  • No Heat Affected Zone
